Fondly called ‘Daddy GO’ by his parishioners and family members, Prophet (Dr.) Kadri was the first Celestial shepherd to run a highly successful weekly radio ministry ‘Wakati Adura Mi’ (My Hour of Prayer) named after the parish he founded. His signature tune on radio was: Wa dami lola, Wa se mi logo, Olorun Wakati Adura, Wa damilola!

Although he was born and raised a Muslim, Dr. Kadri encountered Jesus Christ dramatically along Ikorodu Road, Lagos in 1975, became a Christian, and was baptized into the Celestial Church of Christ at Ikeja Parish 1 in 1977.

Attesting to the drama of Kadri’s rebirth, Superior Evangelist S.O. Banjo, one of the last two surviving pioneer trustees of the Celestial Church of Christ said in a tribute: “Olaolu Kadri held the public spell-bound with wondrous miracles that made him a present day Apostle Paul.”

When late Dr. Kadri launched his autobiography titled ‘The Man with the Hidden Treasure of God’ a Professor of Industrial Chemistry and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Senior Evangelist Samuel Odeyemi wrote this foreword: “Olaolu Kadri’s life (was) full of celestial visions and dreams that marked his journey in a terrestrial world.”

Prophet (Dr) Olaolu Kadri gave to CCC, perhaps the first and only parish that operates purely on biblical faith, devoid of heathen rituals that have marred and soiled a few isolated instances that have been reported in the Nigerian media. He resuscitated and ran the pastoral Faith Clinic at CCC HQ, Ketu.

He believed in and promoted the unification of all Christians and this endeared him to all factions of the Celestial Church of Christ, the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Church of the Lord Aladura and other garment-wearing churches in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States – all of whom he visited and ministered to, physically. He also fathered a number of Pentecostal pastors and their ministries.

Prophet (Dr.) Olaolu Kadri hailed from Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. He is survived by his wife, MC Elizabeth Iyabode Kadri, six daughters and a son all given to the work of the Gospel, and many grandchildren.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
